No, Squid is a web proxy, not a search engine.

If you want the behaviour type into the browser search bar instead of
address bar.

WOW! ... *10 years* without software updates. I think you are close to
the record of what I've seen.

The current version of Squid is 3.5.1. With 3.5.2 about to come out.
