[squid-dev] External ACL Feed, helper?

Hey Dev team,

 

What about adding a Dynamic ACLs lists update helper Script?

 

I have seen that the mainstream commercial GW products have some external
feed updates option.

I think that many proxy admins would like to have a script that will help
them to update their ACLs from a feed.

Ie they have a DB or a GIT repository that contains their ACLs data like IP
addresses, domain names, sni patterns etc.

 

These features are very simple scripts which either run as a cron tab.

For example it can run every 1/5/10/15/30/45/60/90 minutes.

 

Would it be possible to add such helper to the project sources?

If so, what are the requirements?
