The attached take8 patch prohibits IPv6 import from /etc/hosts and
removes the no longer necessary related functionality. It also fixes
excessive recording of DNS delays in take7 (and polishes associated code
a little).

I forgot to mention that the trivial changes addressing the above XXX
are naturally in this project scope.
