I had to disable lambda in the -std=c++11 feature detection in Dec to
keep the CentOS and RHEL builds working.

If you can re-enable it without causing any of the current set of trunk
compilers to fail the detection then its an option. Otherwise not yet.

PS. I was expecting things to go a little slower and only be able to use
lambdas 9-12 months from now. :-)
